It’s Good Friday. Hard, sad—but GOOD.

Jesus gets welcomed as King! But what kind of King is He? Do we really welcome Him?

No palm branches at your place? Make one--or two! Welcome Jesus the true King with a palm made out of green paper or newspaper. You only need scissors and maybe a glue stick--and some crayons or markers if you want to make plain paper green. You can even make a paper branch grow!

Some things are missing if these people are the church! Read Acts 2:42-47 to hear what the church is like in the power of Jesus’ Holy Spirit! Try adding a Bible, a BIG cross, something to show the Holy Spirit—like a dove or fire, and signs of His presence—like smiles and hearts—and are there many kids or babies? Add some more! And help the people to look more different from each other—different colours of skin and clothes—and more stuff to share! Any other ideas? Have fun! And pray for the church!

Honour?? What’s that?? A little about honouring our mums (or honoring our moms!) from Exodus 20:12 and 2 Timothy 1:5 & 3:14-15.

Easy peasy paper flowers! All you need is paper and tape. Paper in colours your Mum likes would be the best! You can always colour the paper too. And if you have something for a stem like a pipe cleaner, straw, stick or old pencil, great! You can watch the video first or have the supplies ready and do it with me. Great way to honour your mother during these days when it's hard to do much!

It can be so hard to wait! When we pray while we wait, God is working--we may not see anything happen, but when God is ready--BOOM! Or maybe BUBBLE!

Pray for yourself or others to know more of Jesus' love and joy from the Holy Spirit! You could use a little vinegar and baking soda like me, or open up a can of pop or just use a straw to blow some bubbles in your water!

Stay and Pray! Jesus told His disciples to stay in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit came. They prayed and waited for God to act. We need to learn to do this too! Here’s some help! Click on the image above for the Activity Sheet, or on the button below for the family prayer maze.
